Leslie Samuelrich

Ms. Samuelrich leads Green Century Capital Management, focusing on the firm’s current and emerging investment strategies, business development, and impact investing program. She is a frequent speaker on impact, gender-lens, and environmentally sustainable investing. Prior to joining Green Century, Ms. Samuelrich served as the Chief of Staff at Corporate Accountability International and Executive Director of Green Corps. Leslie earned a BA in economics from Boston College and currently serves on the Board of Directors for US SIF, the membership association for professionals, firms, institutions and organizations engaged in sustainable, responsible, and impact investing, as well as the Advisory Board of the Intentional Endowments Network.

Ms. Curtis has overseen the operations, administration and finances for the Green Century Funds since the organization’s founding in 1991. She is also responsible for supervising the Funds’ investment managers and service providers. Prior to her employment with Green Century, Ms. Curtis served as the Finance Director for several affiliated non-profit consumer and environmental advocacy organizations and as an organizer and program director for community and civil rights organizations in Virginia and North Carolina. She earned her BA at Brown University and her MBA at the Yale University School of Management.

Ms. Puffer oversees the compliance function for Green Century and the Green Century Funds. She has worked in the mutual fund industry for over 30 years since earning her BA from Brown University. Prior to her employment with Green Century over a decade ago, Ms. Puffer worked in the fund administration departments of several mutual fund companies. She earned her MBA from Simmons School of Management.

Doug Phelps

Mr. Phelps is President and Executive Director of The Public Interest Network. He also chairs the Board of U.S. PIRG and the Advisory Board of the Fund for the Public Interest. Mr. Phelps chairs the board of Green Corps, the field school for environmental organizing, and serves on the Board of the National Environmental Law Center. He is a graduate of Colorado State University and the Harvard Law School and currently lives in Denver, Colorado.

Wendy Wendlandt

Ms. Wendlandt is a founding Trustee of the Green Century Funds and a Board Member of Green Century Capital Management. Ms. Wendlandt is also the Political Director for The Public Interest Network, which includes Green Century Capital Management. Over the last 30 years, she has helped secure millions of dollars in foundation grants, and played a lead role in campaigns that have won dozens of tangible results for public health and the environment. Ms. Wendlandt lives in Los Angeles, California.

Molly Chafetz

Ms. Chafetz leads the digital marketing strategy and coordinates other business development and programs for the firm in Denver. Prior to joining Green Century, Ms. Chafetz spent nearly a decade working with The Public Interest Network, most recently as part of the central team working with its President. She earned her BA from Wesleyan University.

Ms. Gray supports financial advisors on the west coast, coordinates sustainable investing event participation and leads special analytical projects. Prior to joining Green Century more than a decade ago, Ms. Gray performed financial analysis for an environmental consulting firm and worked at a public accounting firm. She earned her BA from Smith College and her MBA and Masters of Environmental Management from Yale University.


Brianna Rainville
• Operations and Business Development Associate, Green Century Capital Management

Ms. Rainville provides assistance to the Green Century Funds’ shareholders and the firm’s outreach work, in addition to performing key administrative duties. Prior to working at Green Century, Ms. Rainville worked for Planned Parenthood and ENSAVE where she helped farmers join an Agriculture Energy Efficiency Program. She earned a BA in Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont.


Katherine Kroll
• Shareholder Advocate, Green Century Capital Management

Ms. Kroll coordinates Green Century’s impact work by pressing companies, using the firm’s leverage as a shareholder, to adopt more sustainable and environmentally responsible policies and practices. She coordinates our forest protection campaign, mobilizing investors globally, and serves on UNPRI’s palm oil steering committee. Ms. Kroll also works on promoting renewable energy, sustainable agriculture and humane animal treatment practices, and reduction of food waste and toxic chemicals. Prior to joining Green Century, she worked for Renewable Energy Vermont. Ms. Kroll holds a BA from the University of Vermont.


Marissa LaFave
• Shareholder Advocate, Green Century Capital Management

Ms. LaFave supports Green Century’s impact work through leveraging the firm’s clout as a shareholder to drive companies to adopt more environmentally responsible policies and practices. She focuses on sustainable agriculture and humane animal treatment, renewable energy procurement, sustainable water practices, food waste, and toxic chemical reduction. Ms. LaFave holds a BA from Boston University.


Libby O’Connell
• Business Development and Shareholder Advocacy Associate, Green Century Capital Management

Ms. O’Connell leads our individual investor outreach principally through the firm’s website, educational presentations and toll free inquiry line. She also coordinates Green Century’s work to promote sustainable agriculture and expose and curb corporate political spending. Ms. O’Connell holds a BA from the University of Michigan.


Dan Cembrola
• Deputy Finance and Operations Manager, Green Century Capital Management

Mr. Cembrola assists in overseeing the daily management and operations of the Green Century Funds. He is also involved in the coordination of Green Century’s work with the Funds’ service providers. Prior to joining Green Century, Mr. Cembrola worked for several nonprofits and NGOs based in both Washington, DC and Sub-Saharan Africa where his work was focused on global public health and sustainable development. Mr. Cembrola holds a BA from the University of Miami and an MBA from the University of Edinburgh.



Alex DeBlois

Mr. DeBlois focuses on Green Century’s communications and media relations program. Prior to joining Green Century, Mr. DeBlois worked with a number of public affairs and strategic communications firms where he helped clients from the telecommunications, energy, professional services, and healthcare sectors implement, develop, and execute external corporate social responsibility communication strategies to engage broader audiences. Mr. DeBlois earned his B.A. in communication and political science from the University of New Hampshire and is also certified in the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) sustainability reporting process.

Trillium Asset Management has been a leader in socially and environmentally responsible investing for over thirty years. A team of three portfolio managers at Trillium has responsibility for the day-to-day portfolio management of the Balanced Fund.

Matthew Patsky, CFA, joined Trillium in 2009 and has over 25 years of experience in investment research and investment management. Mr. Patsky is Trillium’s Chief Executive Officer.
