2. Download and print out the appropriate account registration form for the type of account you wish to open. For retirement and Education Savings accounts, there are also additional documents to download and read as described below.
3. Complete the registration form, and mail it along with a check for your initial investment to:

The Green Century Funds are available in a number of account types. If you do not see the type of account you wish to open in the list below, please call 1-800-93-GREEN and ask if we offer the type of account in which you are interested.

Standard Account
Individuals, businesses, trusts, and non-profit organizations may open standard investment accounts. A standard Green Century Funds investment account requires an initial minimum investment of $2,500. However, this requirement is reduced to $1,000 if you sign up for an Automatic Investment Plan and arrange for a minimum of $100 to be transferred on a monthly basis to your Green Century Funds account.

Traditional IRA
Please read the Green Century Funds IRA Disclosure Statement before opening an IRA. You may contribute up to $5000 for 2012 and $5500 for 2013 into a Green Century Funds Traditional IRA (If you are 50 years of age or older, the limit is $6000 for 2012 and $6500 for 2013). Individuals not covered by a retirement plan at work, and people covered by a retirement plan who meet certain IRS income guidelines may be able to deduct their contributions from their taxable income each year. When you retire, distributions from your IRA are generally taxed as ordinary income. More information is included in the Green Century Funds IRA Disclosure Statement. Roth IRA
Please read the Green Century Funds IRA Disclosure Statement before opening an IRA. You may contribute up to $5000 for 2012 and $5500 for 2013 into a Green Century Funds Roth IRA (If you are 50 years of age or older, the limit is $6000 for 2012 and $6500 for 2013). Roth IRAs differ from traditional IRAs. With a Roth IRA you cannot deduct your current-year contributions from your taxable income. However, upon retirement, distributions from your Roth IRA are generally not taxed as ordinary income. More information is included in the Green Century Funds IRA Disclosure Statement. SEP-IRA Account
A Simplified Employee Pension (SEP) plan allows self-employed people and small business owners to establish SEP-IRAs for the business owner and eligible employees, if any. SEP-IRAs have specific eligibility rules and contribution limits (as described on IRS Form 5305-SEP). Otherwise SEP-IRAs follow the same rules as Traditional IRAs. If you are interested in opening a Green Century Funds SEP-IRA Account, in addition to reading the IRA Disclosure Statement and filling out an IRA Account Registration Form you will also need to complete IRS Form 5305-SEP. You may obtain the 5305-SEP form at the IRS website, www.irs.gov or by downloading below. IRA Transfer / Rollover
If you have an existing IRA that you would like to transfer to the Green Century Funds, or if you have a 401(k) account with a past employer that you would like to rollover into a Green Century Funds IRA, please review the Green Century Funds IRA Disclosure Statement, complete the IRA Account Registration form AND complete the Green Century Funds IRA Transfer Request Form. UGMA / UTMA Account
Uniform Gift to Minor (UGMA) and Uniform Transfer to Minor (UTMA) accounts may provide you tax advantages as you put aside savings for your children or other minors. To open an UGMA or UTMA account, simply use the regular Green Century Funds Account Registration form and fill in the appropriate information under the “Gifts To Minors” section. Call 1-800-93-GREEN or consult a tax professional if you have questions regarding UGMA / UTMA accounts.

Coverdell / Education Savings Account
Education Savings Accounts are designed to be a tax advantaged vehicle to save for a child’s educational expenses. You may open an Education Savings Account by completing the Education Savings Account Registration Form. You may also transfer an existing Education Savings Account to a Green Century Funds Education Savings Account by completing both the Registration Form and the Education Savings Account Transfer Request Form. Please read the Green Century Funds Education Savings Account Disclosure Statement for additional information and before opening an Education Savings Account.
