Like so many of you, we are deeply saddened by the latest tragic school shooting in Florida. We also have been inspired by the organized, courageous, and strong responses from students, parents and others in Florida and around the country.
Many investors with whom we have spoken have been concerned that they may be invested in firearms. We want to affirm that Green Century does not invest in gun manufacturers or distributors.
Green Century believes that certain industries, including firearms, as well as nuclear and military weapons, impose onerous costs on society. The “screening” out of these companies has been in place for more than 20 years and is written into our prospectus.
