Leslie Samuelrich leads Green Century Funds, which has about $1 billion in managed assets and has grown significantly since she took the helm in 2012. An economics major at Boston College, Leslie’s career began in the nonprofit world where she gained more than 25 years of experience in corporate engagement, environmental and public health advocacy.
Leslie has been an articulate and powerful voice in promoting environmentally and sustainable investing as the leader of Green Century Funds.
In August 2024, she was selected for the esteemed Forbes’ 50 Over 50 list, which celebrates women who are pioneers in their fields and are leveraging their age and experience as tools for success. In April 2024, she was named to the prestigious Barron’s 100 Most Influential Women in U.S. Finance, joining the ranks of prominent and influential women leaders, for the second consecutive year.

She is a guest lecturer on impact investing at The Wharton School and has served two terms on the Board of Directors of the Forum for Sustainable and Responsible Investment (US SIF). She was named to Inside Climate News’ inaugural list of Climate Action 30 in 2022.
She has attracted attention for her ability to take strong positions and educate the public and financial advisors about fossil fuel free investing, greenwashing, the differences between engagement and advocacy, and other practices.
